Do you buy books?
We are interested in purchasing
well-defined collections of fine books, estates and private libraries. If you have a collection that fits these
categories, please call Gabe to set up an appointment. We are particularly interested in collections and archives related to books about books, bookplates, African art and ritual, motorcycles and
bike culture, and political- and music-based social movements including punks,
mods and skins.
Are the books
listed on this site all you have?
Not even close. We have thousands of books waiting to be listed online and books that have been set aside for shows and future catalogs. If you have a special request, please let us know what you're looking for and we'll be happy to search the stacks.
How do you pack your books?
wrap our books in packing paper or bubble wrap and ship them in boxes or
cardboard wraps. We never use plastic
bags. We want our
books to arrive in the same condition as we’ve described them.
Do you have a brick and mortar shop?
Not any more. Bay Leaf Books had a retail location, first in Sand Lake and then in Newaygo, Michigan, for ten years. We sold that business in January of 2017 and it is now open with new owners and a new name, Flying Bear Books. CLICK HERE to visit their Facebook page.
