Glossy, full-color, magazine-style program, 25.5 by 30.5 cm, 100 pp. Fully-illustrated with sections including “U.S. Bugatti Grand Prix stays true to heritage,” “Historic Formula 1,” “Trans-Am: Pony Car Express gallops again,” historic stock car races, schedule of events, “Pebble Beach and the Monterey Peninsula motorsports tradition,” “Dan Gurney: American Racing Hero,” Monterey-area attractions, lists of entrants for the various races (each with a color photo of their car), etc. Very good condition with light wear to the covers and corners. No names, writing or other marks.

The title page is signed Marion Stowell on either side of the author’s name – could be a previous owner of the full name of the author, ie “marion DeNonie Barber-Stowell.” No other writing or marks. Features short profiles of Indy reats from 1903 to 1973. First Edition.

However, it could be missing the actual title page, so we’ve priced accordingly. The copyright page has a business card for a printer tipped in over the information on ordering additional copies. No writing, highlighting, names or other markings. Includes results of all national championship races from 1945 until 1965, and the race records of all champion drives from that period.

Green cloth with bright gilt spine titles, dust jacket, 14 by 22 cm, 166 pp., illus. The hardcover has only faint signs of shelf wear and a small worn spot on the bottom edge of the front cover. The interior is faintly yellowed with no writing or marks. The dust jacket has light creases and rubbing; there are small edge chips and a larger areas of loss at the head and tail of the spine panel (see images). Aside from having an impressive name, Lt.-Col. A.T. Goldie Gardner, O.B.E., M.C. was a Grand Prix and T.T. champion and set over one hundred land speed records, being best known for setting thirty-seven speed records at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1951 and 1952 in his supercharged MG streamliner EX-135. Illustrated with two sections of black and white photographs and three fold-out speed/track charts in pristine condition. (reg case) Dust jacket present. First Edition.
