Staple-bound card wraps, 15.5 by 23 cm, 89 pp., illus. Light edge wear, a couple of light pencil notes on the front cover, and a Northwestern Michigan College stamp on the title page only. The staples have been removed from this copy, but it is complete. There is a newspaper clipping titles “Log Brands of Muskegon Lumber Boom Recalled” tipped in on the last two black pages. Well-illustrated with black and white photos and drawings of log marks, this WPA booklet depicts “the nature and magnitude of one phase of Michigan’s gigantic lumbering history. Functions of log marks and methods of use together with a description of the operation of boom companies during the height of the pine harvest.”
