Hardcover, 9 by 11 1/4-inches, 80 pp. Dark orange, heavy-woven cloth over boards with paper label on spine and a cover label of one of Weidenaar's color drawings. This volume features dozens of large illustrations by Weidenaar of Kent County homes and environs accompanied by subtitles that form a poem. Includes a prefatory poem by Carl Sandburg, an introduction by James Biddle of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and, at the rear, notes on the illustrations and a lengthy list of sponsors of this hand-bound, limited edition, including many prominent West Michigan names: The Hon. And Mrs. Gerald R. Ford, Mr. and Mrs. Frederik Meijer, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Steketee, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Blodgett, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Van Andel, Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. De Vos, several members of the Baldwin, Gillett, Keeler, Kimball, Kindell, and Pew families, and dozens more. Near fine with only faint signs of shelf wear and faint sun fading to the spine. The interior is clean and bright with a small purple pencil mark near the author's signature on the ffep (see photo). No other marks, writing, highlighting, names, or bookplate.
