Barbara Blondeau, 1938-1974


Spiral-bound, card wraps with black titles and embossed cover image, 36 by 28.2 cm, 30 pp. incld. two fold-outs. Good with cover and corner wear and a name in felt-tip on the title page. A catalog for a retrospective exhibition assembled shortly after the artist’s death in 1974. Blondeau was an American experimental photographer who worked in a wide variety of materials, processes, sizes and formats, although she is best known for her “strip prints” which she stumbled upon while shooting with a malfunctioning camera (Wikipedia). After a five-page preface and introduction, this volume features 32 full- and half-page 300-line duotone images, including three printed on paper-backed acetate.
