Number 1 of a limited edition of 83 copies (dedicated to the Linda McCartney Foods Cycling Team “with congratulations on their excellent showing in the 83rd Giro d’Italia”). Staple-bound card wraps, 12 by 19.8 cm, 48 pp. Near fine with only faint corner wear. Originally published in 1908, this is a memoir of the cyclist and vegetarian activist Rosa Symons and her multiple tours of Britain. The chapters include “Why I Became a Vegetarian,” “Seven Times Round Great Britain,” “The Seventh Record Ride,” “Exercises for All,” “Experiences; or, Questions Answered,” “Doctor’s Certificate,” and a short postscript by OTW’s publisher. From the publisher of the Bikelore series, this booklet is more like a quality zine, but apparently the only reprint of this surprisingly scarce cycling memoir (OCLC shows only one holding of the original edition).
